Fooled by Life!!

This is a post based on a real story about 4 fools. These fools, who are friends, are celebrating the eight year of their friendship.

PartI
Piban. Seldom will you find someone as knowledgeable in current affairs as he is. If he leaves his laziness and becomes a bit sincere, probably he can easily hold a good post in government department. He will fight with people to fill up a form for some exam and later won't appear for it out of laziness. He is the only non-engineer of the group.
This happened to him once he was in his biology tuition. He has a strange habit of staring at people unknowingly. The stare was not meant for passing some wrong gesture. It was just that when he would think something deeply, unknowingly he used to stare somewhere. Thanks to this habit, the maid servant of his biology teacher complained to the biology teacher of the indecent behavior. Being reckless from birth, Piban didn't even care to explain probably because he was too lazy. Thanks to this, he and Tarun both had to quit the tuition!

Part II
Rajat. He was undoubtedly the best of the lot. The most studious, the most sincere guy. He had scored the best in engineering entrance exam among 3 of the 4 in the group. He too like others of the group is a happy go lucky person. Always smiling whatever the situation is. I remember only one incident when he became serious.
He had fallen for a girl Mohua, who used to stay in the neighbourhood. This was probably one sided affair. Or may be Rajat could not go ahead and have a talk with her. All he could do was stare at her on the road and wait for her on the road during the scheduled hours to enjoy the momentary glimpse! Anyways, after some days, when Rajat completed his course and Mohua joined some job, something happened. All of a sudden Rajat received an sms from an unknown number saying that, 'I know it has been my mistake. I was blinded by the aim of rapid growth, money, power, fame etc. In this course, I ignored true love probably! And now when I've got myself in trouble for this, I'm realizing my mistake. I'm not asking for your love now. I just want to let u know that I've realized my mistake and I hope none does the same ever. And for me, sinner should be punished. So shall I be!'
Rajat ignored the sms thinking that its another prank from Piban. Only to discover that Mohua had committed Suicide after couple of days. Rajat didn't smile for next 1 week at least.

Part III
Tarun. He is the most responsible one of the group. He is the perfect example of an ideal son. He ranked the second among the group in entrance exam. Always into pranks. Always in to grass. He was a great drunkard till he fell ill with jaundice, typhoid etc. After this, his mom has found a girl for him! They are getting married this January.
He too was into a one sided affair! Again failure to express! The girl got married when Tarun was still in college.
This happened in Delhi. He was at the station waiting for the train which was late. A girl was also at the platform with her guardian. The guardian overheard Tarun speaking in Bengali and approached him, requested him to help the girl as he had to leave. Seeing the opportunity Tarun readily agreed! He helped the girl with her luggage. Maintained her company throughout the journey. The girl asked for Tarun's contact number while leaving and gave him her's. She even introduced Tarun to her mom at the platform saying that 'mom, see this is the guy I was talking to you about'! For Tarun it was the happiest moment! Probably, he has been waiting for this moment throughout his life. He went home with colourful dreams in his eyes. At night he called up the girl. She did not receive. He tried again the next day. He continued trying till he realized that she would never receive! :(

Part IV
Me. I was born reckless. I'm trying to improve upon that. Always getting entangled in the web of life! I always miss those evenings spent with these three.

Today, Piban is a budding entrepreneur and supplies computer and peripherals across Barasat. Rajat is doing his masters from BESU. Tarun is working with denso and presently posted in Delhi. I miss them all while sitting here at Patna alone.

Someone's childhood memory

It was a cool winter afternoon in Lucknow. This little girl had just returned from her school. Like every other weekday, she was hurrying to go out and play with her friends in the neighborhood. However, today was going to be bit different. Rion, however, didn't know this. She was the youngest among that group. In spite of that, she had always proved herself superior, esp. in the game of Badminton!!!
The eldest of the group, Manisha was probably a couple of years elder than her. A "Momma's child", she was always taken care of by her parents very well. She had always felt that she was the best in every desired thing in life. Being brought up in a protective environment, she had never known failure as failure, she had never learnt to tolerate pain. In short she had only know the good things in life, not the facts of life!!!
Anyways, life always teaches you!!! This day was probably going to be her first day, thanks to Rion. Manisha had wonderful hairs; and you know how much a girl will adore her hairs. This story is about her nice, beautiful hairs and Rion's chewing gum!!! Manisha, naturally was quite bullish! That day, when they started their game, as usual, Manisha was being bullish. Forcefully, trying to earn points. This was a daily practice! Its not easy to tolerate a bully everyday. Nobody tolerates after a certain limit. Today was one such day. The thread snapped! While Manisha was celebrating her fake win; in wrath and anger, Rion spitted the Chewing Gum on Manisha's hair!!! That was it. Manisha, started crying; less for the reason that she'd have to cut down her hairs, more because, her ego was not letting her tolerate the fact that someone had opposed her.
And for Rion, she felt the satisfaction that probably was felt by Gandhi after India became independent. But, after sometime, Rion realised the guilt and fear inside her! Imagining the consequences which were going to follow, she rushed back home! Without informing anybody, she hid herself inside the Almirah! After sometime, Manisha came to Rion's place with her mother; herself crying and her mother shouting.
"आपकी बेटी ने मेरी बेटी के बालों को ख़राब को ख़राब कर दिया| इतनी बदमाश....", Manisha's mom was shouting.
A little irritated and embarrassed, Rion's mom started shouting for Rion. She asked her two sons, both a bit older than Rion, to search her out. They were searching for her everywhere. But Rion!!! She was still hiding inside the Almirah. Listening to the conversations.
"उसको तो आपको सजा देना ही चाहिए....देखिये| इतने अच्छे बाल थे बेचारी के, अब सब काटना परेगा|
", Manisha's mom continued shouting.
Not knowing how to react, "मैं काट दूं क्या?", Rion's mother said.
Manish started crying out louder. Somehow, Rions mother consoled them and assured them that she will punish Rion very much for this.
Manisha and her mother left. Rion came out of the Almirah. Sheepishly, she came in front of her mother. She knew that she was going to get a good one this time.
Her mother saw Rion. Heads down, Rion didn't know what to say. Her mom asked her to come near. Rion moved nearer to her mother. Her mother smiled and took her in her lap, hugged her and kissed her.

Years after, today Rion and Manisha are good friends.
